About Me
I’m an internationally recognized policy advocate, communications specialist, researcher, and movement builder with more than 30 years of experience researching and organizing for human rights, social justice, and inclusive democracy. With particular expertise in LGBTQI+ human rights and refugee & migration justice, my work sits at the intersection of policy advocacy, narrative strategy, capacity building, and international coalition leadership.
My expertise spans policy analysis, strategic communications, qualitative research, leadership development, and convening thought leaders to generate shared solutions.
My mission is to strengthen inclusive, democratic societies and ensure that marginalized communities have the resources, protection, and dignity they deserve. I’m looking for consulting projects where I can partner with global NGOs, foundations and other philanthropic bodies, multilateral institutions, democracy initiatives, or other organizations focused on inclusion, social justice, and civil society.

For my consulting clients and partners, I bring all the experience I’ve developed over the years working with and for…
Nonprofit advocacy organizations and grass movements, including Amnesty International USA, the Council for Global Equality, GLSEN, and Community Research Initiative
Philanthropy support organizations such as Fund the People and Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations
Universities such as Harvard, Duke, Cornell, Tufts, and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies
Community education programs and educational services companies, including Learning for Justice, Gale Cengage Learning, Primary Source, and Moxie College Consulting
Research organizations and publishers such as Pearson, McGraw-Hill, the Donaldson Adoption Institute, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada
Beyond consulting, my passions include soccer, sci-fi, puns, cartography, and weight training. I live in the Washington, D.C. area with a loving brother-sister pair of chaos demons poorly disguised as cats. They run the show.
